Forum: GratefulDead Subject: Re: Your 'Best' Memory

The thing I enjoyed the most about the few shows I went to was the crowd. The vibe was great, the people were mellow. I know from yesterday that quite a few of you quit attending shows because of the crowds. But I was used to going to see bands like Metallica and Suicidal Tendencies and Megadeth, so compared to those crowds the people at the Dead shows were really a breath of fresh air to me. Peaceful and fun loving. Happiest place on earth.

I also have a fond memory of sitting down and eating a pretzel with mustard. And it took me like an hour to get the mustard off my hands. Years later in retrospect, I'm not sure if there was ever any mustard or not. Ahhh, the good old days of mind altering substances.
